What the name means, who you'll meet, and how the work is done.
In Chinese medicine the dantian (丹田), the "cinnabar field," is the body's reservoir of vital energy, gathered a few fingers below the navel. It is the quiet center a body organizes itself around. That is the idea this practice is named for, and the one it works toward: helping you return to your own center.
Dantian Wellness Center is a holistic practice in Richmond's West End, offering massage, acupuncture, Reiki, and guided meditation for the mind, the body, and the spirit alike.
Known to many simply as Coach, Dan is a helper driven by a single aim: to ease unnecessary suffering, and to help a great many beings find more space to breathe.
He is a Licensed Massage Therapist, a Certified Thai practitioner, a Certified Mindfulness Life Coach, and an Ordained Minister, with a BS in Psychology and Philosophy. He is currently an acupuncture student and the clinic's supervisor. His work is guided by two simple principles: that change is natural, and that no one is broken.
Meadow is our Assistant Administrator and, for most people, the first welcoming point of contact. Through her own work with Sacred Lynx Adornments she has spent years creating intentional, client-centered experiences, and she brings that same care, along with a love of the subtle energies that support healing, to everyone who walks through the door.
A quiet, low-lit room in Richmond's West End, set up for real work and real rest. Warm light, a heated table, and the tools of the trade close at hand.
Every session is a partnership. We honor the path you are already on and try to make a little more room on it. If that sounds like what you have been looking for, we would be glad to see you.
